Company profile

TotalEnergies Denmark has successfully explored, developed, and produced oil and gas in the Danish North Sea for more than 50 years. TotalEnergies is fully committed to the development of the Danish North Sea. We provide local jobs directly and indirectly, contribute to state revenue, and ensure energy security in Denmark today and for decades to come.

As Denmark’s leading oil and gas company, TotalEnergies produces from 15 fields using 49 offshore installations and five main platforms. We are a diverse and multinational team of more than 1,200 people, located in Esbjerg, offshore and Copenhagen.

Objective and policy on decarbonisation

TotalEnergies’ ambition is to be a major player in the energy transition and to get to net zero by 2050, together with society, by taking steps to:

  • Reduce emissions from our operated industrial facilities (Scope 1+2)
  • Reduce indirect emissions associated with the use of our products (Scope 3)

Products and services on decarbonisation

While focusing fully on delivering the massive Tyra Redevelopment, we continue the work to maximize production from our operating fields, and keep reducing our footprint from existing assets and activities. A key initiative was the deployment of cutting edge drone-based methane monitoring on all our installations.

Activities towards decarbonisation

Globally, we invest in renewable power, expand our capacity within low-carbon gases like hydrogen and biogas, secure a strong position within natural gas which will be a crucial transition fuel, and develop carbon storage facilities, able to store millions of tons of CO2 in deposits deep underground.
